About Light of the World Church
Light of the World Church is a vibrant Slavic Christian community in San Diego, California. Founded over 20 years ago by Pastor Serge Poonka, we've grown from a small gathering into a thriving family where traditional values meet contemporary worship.
We believe in the power of prayer, community, and the transformative love of Jesus Christ. Whether you're taking your first steps of faith or seeking to deepen your relationship with Christ, you belong here.

You'll be warmly welcomed! Our services include worship music, prayer, and biblical teaching. Dress comfortably - there's no dress code. Services typically last about 120 minutes, and we'd love to meet you afterwards over coffee and snacks.
Yes! We have programs for children of all ages during our Sunday morning service. Your kids will enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, and making new friends in a safe, caring environment.

Not at all! Everyone is welcome to attend services, join small groups, and participate in church activities. Membership is available for those who want to make Light of The World their church home, but it's never required to be part of our community.
